This is an image using my favorite model, my Bride of 40+ years, Delretha. We met when I was 13 and she was 11. She wanted nothing to do with me then. She thought I was "corny", a "nerd". Years later we ran into each other in downtown Newark, NJ, and exchanged contact information. A couple of communication errors later, we were married - within three months!
This portrait was taken on the day of disembarkation from a cruise. She is waiting for our group to be called. I can imagine all that was going on behind those beautiful eyes. She is such a powerhouse.
It is rare that she allows me to capture her. I just do it anyway, and get permission later - maybe.
