Soprano Sax - Gold on Black
I have always envied sketch artists. They are able to translate their visions with no more than a writing instrument and medium. This is a reason that I took up photography, to capture scenes and express the subject according to my vision.
I have made some attempts to express my vision by hand. This is one of my rare efforts to express my vision by hand.
I am a musician as well as a photographer. I have played percussion since I was tall enough to reach the top of my father's congas. I began playing sax at thirteen and began composing in my 40s.
My vision was to express the raw honesty of the sound of the sax, specifically the soprano sax. I sought to display the juxtaposition of simplicity and intricacy in design, and the brassy woodiness of its sound.
